Walk the plant

Drag to rotate, scroll or pinch to zoom, hover to name a part, click it to read what it does. Right-drag, middle-drag or double-click and hold to move the view; double-click a spot to centre on it. The plant runs on a loop: aggregate on the conveyor, the loader feeding the batcher, mixers loading, weighing out and coming back. Pick a station to fly there, or let the auto tour run. Modelled on drone and ground photographs of the ELR plant, simplified, not a survey drawing; the factory building beside it is left out.

01

Aggregates

Sand and coarse aggregate arrive by tipper, are stocked by size and loaded into separate bins, one fraction per compartment.

02

Batching

Each ingredient is weighed on its own load cells against the approved mix design: aggregates on the belt, cement from the silo, water and admixture in their hoppers.

03

Mixing

Everything meets in the twin-shaft mixer. Two counter-rotating shafts turn the batch into a homogeneous mix in seconds before it drops through the discharge hopper.

04

Transit

The transit mixer takes the batch under the chute, is weighed out and leaves with its docket: grade, quantity, batch time, truck. The drum keeps turning on the way.

05

Pour

At site the slump is checked again, then the concrete is placed straight from the chute or through a boom or stationary pump, matched to the element being poured.

06

Cube test

Cubes cast from the delivered concrete are cured and crushed at 7 and 28 days in the lab, and the result is filed against the docket.
